35 years ago on 5 December 1989, a small group of nine schools gathered together and wrote the original founding document to create FELTOM. Today, our member schools’ student statistics account for over 65% of the ELT sector in Malta. FELTOM is an acronym – the Federation of English Language Teaching Organisations Malta. We are a self-regulating, non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting professionalism and quality within the ELT industry. FELTOM is the only registered ELT association in Malta as per ELTC legislation Legal Notice 221 of 2015.
FELTOM’s objectives are to:
– develop cooperation amongst licensed English Language Schools
– set, improve, and ensure the maintenance of standards in, and direct the development of, all aspects and services which constitute the requisites of an English language stay in Malta
– promote Malta as an ELT destination for English language stays of quality.
This is anchored in our 3 main pillars:

– Accreditation
– Marketing and Promotion
