Elton Skendaj graduated in British & American Studies from the University of Tirana. He has vast experience working in the international relations area holding several high level management positions. His expertise lies in coordinating complex tasks, managing diverse teams, and ensuring timely delivery within budget. His focus on building and maintaining international partnerships has been instrumental in fostering cross-border collaborations and enhancing global outreach.
In 2016, he was appointed Director of the Communication Department at the University of Tirana which included all international relations and university project management. During that time, he was in charge of supervising the implementation of 11 capacity building projects, 5 Horizon 2020 projects, among others. He has extensive experience in project management, successfully led and executed numerous initiatives, demonstrating a keen ability to drive projects from inception to completion.
Skendaj is the Executive Director of the Mediterranean Centre and the Director of Projects’ Office at the Mediterranean University of Albania. He conducted a research study at University of Tuscia in Italy where he focused on international partnership building with Western Balkan countries. He is a member of the Higher Education Reform Experts Team Albania to promote EU reforms in the higher education sector, where he has been asked to provide his contribution in many international seminars and conferences.
