TrainingMalta is the training branch of AcrossLimits and a licensed European vocational education and training (VET) provider delivering courses to professionals across Europe. We have been active for over 20 years, supporting learners and organisations in developing practical skills that are increasingly expected in the modern workplace.
After a quieter period during COVID, TrainingMalta is now back with a renewed focus, a significantly updated course catalogue, and a fully redesigned, more user-friendly website that better reflects how people learn in the present day, shaped by busy work schedules and hybrid environments.
Not only are we picking up right where we left off, but we are coming back with a refreshed learning ecosystem heavily influenced by the way professional development has changed over the past few years.
Rebuilt for a New Era of Learning
One of the main changes is the website itself, which now shows more clearly how TrainingMalta operates as a learning provider. With a more intuitive and accessible structure, it is now much easier to navigate the website and explore what the training courses have to offer, including course outlines, learning outcomes, duration, and more.
Each course page now offers a simple choice: read more or inquire directly. This removes extra steps and creates a more direct link between interest in a course and getting in touch.
The platform also plays a more active role in the learning process. For online recorded courses, participants can access materials directly through the website, turning it into a space where they can follow their learning journey alongside the materials that follow it.
What’s more is that selected courses will occasionally be highlighted through special offers, making certain training opportunities even more accessible for organisations or groups looking for a more flexible starting point.
From ‘Face to Face Only’ to Learning That Fits Around Life
Before COVID, most of our training was delivered in person, in classrooms where learners and trainers worked side by side, engaging directly through the sessions. This approach remains an important part of what we do today. However, over time, the way people learn and work has changed, and so has TrainingMalta.
Now, we offer a much more dynamic approach that matches the realities of modern professional life, where we often need to squeeze learning into busy schedules, shifting work contexts, and blended ways of working.
Depending on the course and the needs of participants, our training can be delivered in different ways. Some programmes are fully online and recorded, allowing participants to learn at their own pace, revisiting materials whenever needed. Others are run as live online sessions, enabling real time interaction with trainers and peers, regardless of location. For those who benefit most from hands-on experience and direct group engagement, in person workshops remain an essential part of what we offer.
We are happy that this flexibility allows us to stay close to the people we train, whether they are joining from the same room or from across Europe and beyond, without losing the same emphasis on applied, real world learning that defines our approach.
New Learners, New Needs
In earlier years, our main aim was to support educators, especially with digital tools and the digitalisation of learning. During COVID, this need became largely universal and gradually diminished as educators quickly became familiar with digital tools in their daily practice.
As a result, our focus has widened. TrainingMalta currently offers training to:
- New entrepreneurs building their first ventures
- Corporate employees and emerging managers strengthening professional skills
- Organisations and individuals engaging with EU funding and innovation projects
- Professionals seeking structured personal and career development
This shift in focus is a response to the changing needs we see among professionals across Europe, where adaptability, entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to work across different disciplines are highly in demand.

Courses Designed for Real World Application
Our updated course catalogue brings this shift into practice across the different range of programmes we offer.
For entrepreneurs, we offer programmes such as Becoming an Entrepreneur and Starting up in Business, alongside more intensive formats like 1:1 Business Mentoring and 1:1 Business Coaching. These are intended to accompany participants across different stages of their entrepreneurial journey, from initial idea development to structured growth and performance tracking.
Professional development is also a key part of the catalogue. Courses such as Building a Personal Brand focus on communication, visibility, and interpersonal effectiveness in modern workplaces, aimed at entrepreneurs and professionals who want to strengthen how they present themselves and operate in professional environments.
At the same time, we continue to offer expertise in European funding and innovation. Our workshops such as EU Funding Opportunities and EU Funding Proposal Writing Training can guide organisations through the EU funding ecosystem, drawing on the decades long experience of AcrossLimits. These courses are open to public and private entities, including non profit organisations, research institutions, and SMEs.
Beyond offering individual courses, TrainingMalta also works directly with organisations to identify skills gaps within their workforce and develop tailored training roadmaps that translate learning needs into structured upskilling plans.
Addressing Current European Workplace Realities
Several of our newly developed programmes also respond to broader societal and organisational priorities being adopted consistently across Europe today.
Gender Equality at the Workplace: Becoming a More Inclusive Work Environment is one such example, helping organisations move beyond awareness of inclusive principles towards the practical development and implementation of equitable workplace policies. Most importantly, these programmes align with EU funding requirements, where equality plans and inclusive practices have become a crucial part of organisational readiness.
Alongside this focus on inclusion, some of our newer courses also address the role of artificial intelligence in professional contexts, such as Future-Ready Teaching: Integrating AI Tools for Enhanced Learning and Digital Marketing and Networking using AI, showing the need to understand and apply AI tools both responsibly and to maximum effectiveness across both education and business environments.
A European Network of Trainers
Although the name TrainingMalta suggests a local focus, we operate as a European training network, with trainers based across multiple countries, including Malta, Cyprus, Italy, Ireland, and more. We bring together a diverse range of expertise and perspectives, while also having the ability to deliver courses across different countries depending on each organisation’s context and training needs.
Looking Forward
Our return to training is driven by the speed at which the skills needed in the workplace have changed over the past few years.
With a redesigned platform, updated course catalogue, a range of delivery formats, and a stronger focus on entrepreneurship, professional skills, equality and European funding, TrainingMalta is positioning itself once again as the forward-looking training provider for an evolving workforce in Europe and beyond.
