AcrossLimits – Your EU Project Technology Partner

Our Experience

AcrossLimits has been involved in European Union (EU) funding for over 24 years, beginning with projects we participated in under the Fifth RTD Framework Programme 1998-2002. We have now been involved in over 90 successful EU projects and have acquired years of experience as service providers and advisors/consultants to many European institutions and entities, contributing to initiatives ranging from the local/regional level, through national, European and even cross-border levels.

Evaluators and jury members for aiding SMEs in terms of innovation, environmental issues and climate change, and to make Europe more competitive and sustainable

We maintain strong ties to these institutions amongst many others, and our team of experts is experienced in operating within EU agencies, even serving as advisory board members, jury members and evaluators to different European entities and programmes like Horizon Europe and the EIC. Hence, our expertise in the proposal writing and submission process is not only informed by over 90 successful projects submitted by AcrossLimits, but also by internal experience in the evaluation framework.

Our history in consultancy involves agreements with a number of independent clients to help them fulfill the requirements of large, European projects, such as working with EGI Advanced Computing Services for Research on the H-CLOUD project  in order to promote cloud-based services amongst European businesses.

Furthermore, our expertise has been applied across various sectors, such as a Digital Transformation Advice contract with AX Holdings in connection with hospitality, healthcare, and development industries

In the finance sector, we presently support Finance Innovation, the French national Fintech cluster representing over 600 members, in securing EU funding and implementing large-scale projects.

Furthermore, we have supported several deep tech start-ups and established companies through business development services and securing access to finance for projects in AI, cybersecurity, regtech, robotics, and other ICT domains. In this regard, we have supported clients such as UMNAI, Merqury, Binderr, United Screens, Scanquo Ltd, IKnowHow SA, farmer connect, and Earthster Oy.

We have also worked with several European universities, supporting numerous researchers in securing funding for ambitious cutting-edge research projects primarily through the Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ funding programmes. Our research-oriented clients included amongst others, the University of Turku, the LAB University of Applied Sciences of Lahti, and the University of Malta.

Our projects portfolio boasts a broad range of projects and tenders that have been funded through the EU, national governments, and international agencies. We have participated in 90+ projects funded through programmes such as Horizon Europe (and its predecessors all the way to FP5), Erasmus+, Interreg, LIFE, and the European Space Agency (ESA).

Some of our most interesting projects include the organisation of the Women TechEU scheme, which awarded 12 million euros of equity-funding to over 160 women-led deep-tech start-ups. EYE-TEACH is an ongoing project, working to transform educational approaches through integrating AI and eye-tracking technology. Spazju.eu is another ongoing project, funded through the European Space Agency, innovating space education in Malta.

Our experience in EU projects ranges across the following thematic areas:
