
With over 25 years of experience in European collaborative projects, Massimiliano provides expertise in the design, development and coordination of EU-funded initiatives within complex multi-stakeholder environments. His experience spans industrial R&D, digital innovation and European policy frameworks, with direct involvement in projects involving major industrial partners, research organisations and institutional stakeholders.
Massimiliano Margarone supports consortium building, proposal development and partner representation throughout the full lifecycle of European projects, contributing to governance processes, work package leadership and impact-oriented implementation. His expertise includes open innovation frameworks, user-centred design and real-life validation methodologies, as well as the design of dissemination, exploitation and scalability strategies aligned with EU programme evaluation criteria.
Additional areas of expertise include AI governance and policy frameworks linked to the EU AI Act, organisation of high-level stakeholder events, and the development of international collaborations connecting European ecosystems with Southeast Asia, in particular with Vietnam.
He is also founder of the Save The Woman association and mentor to innovation-driven startups.
