Elena Sultana holds a PhD in Molecular Biology, and a MSc in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology from the Russian Academy of Sciences. Her current focus is in the field of Research & Innovation, and Research, Development, and Innovation Project Management. She has extensive experience and expertise in the European Research and Innovation scene, following almost a ten-year engagement as an Executive at the Malta Council for Science & Technology. Dr Sultana’s specialisation lies in the field of Health, Bio-Economy and Research Infrastructures, with her current focus being on Social Sciences, Art and Humanities. Starting from August 2020, Dr. Sultana has become engaged with the University of Malta alongside leading academics, supporting them to make a tangible difference in their bid to push the frontiers of Research & Innovation.
